  1. LED headlight - Angel Eye - Scam sites. An Angel Eye LED headlight for my V9 Roamer would be a great asset, I thougt. Especially when I found the drop in optics of the brand Pimpmysports for prices of half the official one (172 euros) or even less. Further investigation however revealed that these sites are fraudulent websites (scams) , so it is always wise to check several scam databases like Signal-Arnaques.com. Because they change names frequently. One common feature of such scam sites is that they open under one name, and when you subsequently check the adress banner, it shows another name. Two examples. After I googled LED headlight Guzzi V9, I found nordeck.net. After opening, I found myself on the site bootskeh.com, 72,35 euro. Same thing when I opened nichiei-carmax.com I ended up on the site xklpsycho.com, listing the Pimpmysports LED headlight - complete with official logo - for 86 euros. Another characteristic is, that these sites only accept payment by credit card. No PayPal. Also you won't find any info about who are behind the site, and where it is situated. Thus, the official Pimpmysports LED headlight (2 varieties) is the safe choice. I had some doubt about the assembling kit, but Pimpmysports assured me that this is included in de 172 euro price. An alternative is offered by LedPerf, also French. For the V7, V9 and Audace they offer no less than 5 optics, and all of these in dark or clear. The angel eye variety cost 129,90, but for the Guzzis you need an additional headlight housing, which are only available in black or chrome. My V9 has a black house with chrome ring, so this is one problem. Another issue is the fact that these headlights have connecting holes in the medial plane. Like the V7 ( I ) and V7 II. The V7 III , V9 and Audace have original headlights with the connecting holes about 25mm / 1 inch above the medial plane. This is easily remedied by sliding both brackets the same distance down the upper tubes of the front fork. Maybe you need to fiddle with washers or bushings. Assembling becomes a problem with these later Guzzi models when a windscreen or a flyscreen is connected, because these are bolted to the same brackets as the headlights. Mounting the LedPerf replacement headlight straght to these brackets will not be possible , because there is no room for the both. You can use the brackets that come with the LedPerf headlight housing, of course. If you like the result is a matter of taste. One more thing about the scam sites: I also found a site offering a host of replacement (LED) bulbs for headlights (H4 H7 etc.) blinkers and rear/brake lights for very nice prices. Unfortunately this site Pramva or Pramvar.com was also classified as fraudulent. So stay alert, keep your (angel) eyes peeled, check and check again.
